The update covered progress on embankments, spillway works, and completed concrete dam and turbine installation site components.
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology reported a site inspection of the restoration of the Pong Muoy main canal in Bati District, Takeo Province, covering two main canal sections with a combined length of 4,750 metres and 15 associated structures. The project is intended to improve flood drainage, protect National Road 3 from inundation at Tram Khnar market, and support irrigation and household water use in Kum Reachea commune.
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology reported that the Ta Si Samaki agricultural community irrigation infrastructure project in Ta Meun Commune, Thma Koul District, Battambang Province had reached about 88% completion. The World Bank-funded project under the Cambodia Agricultural Diversification Project includes reservoir works, irrigation piping, wells, solar-powered pumps, and pumping stations.
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology held a public forum to disseminate its 2026 annual budget (Citizen Budget), public services, work progress, and strategic directions. The event, supported by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, also outlined priority actions for irrigation modernization, water resource protection, meteorological information systems, and river health management.
