On 17 January 2026, the Committee on Inspection, Clearance, and Anti-Corruption of the Senate of Cambodia, led by Mam Bun Neang, received the 16th humanitarian donation from Global Life Sharing (GLS) of the Republic of Korea and partner organizations. The handover was coordinated with advisers and assistants linked to the Senate leadership and was made through the Senate of Cambodia.
According to the Senate, the donation included medicines, medical materials, medical equipment, and other relief supplies with an estimated value of more than US$1.7 million. The contribution was made under a memorandum of understanding between the Senate committee and GLS.
The Senate stated that GLS first signed a five-year memorandum of understanding with the relevant Senate committee in 2022, with a value of US$10 million. In 2024, the memorandum was extended for another five years, increasing the total value of cooperation to US$50 million.
Partner organizations named in the announcement included Spine Center, PGCT (Phnom Penh–Gyeongbuk Culture Tourism and Trade Promotion Center), World-OKTA Phnom Penh, KB Daehan Specialized Bank PLC, C.K. Law Firm, One Asia Law Firm, Technology Maintenance Company (GCTMC), and Nextgen Leaders Network.
