The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training announced that the 17th General Assembly of the Textile, Apparel, Footwear and Travel Goods Association in Cambodia (TAFTAC) elected He Enjia as the association’s president for its 17th mandate, covering 2026 to 2028.
Labour Minister Heng Sour attended the assembly in Phnom Penh and congratulated the newly elected president. According to the ministry, the minister described TAFTAC as a trusted partner of the Royal Government, employers, and workers in negotiations and discussions relating to the sector.
The ministry stated that the assembly also presented the association’s achievements. It noted TAFTAC’s role over 29 years as a representative voice for investors and as a platform for consultation and social dialogue with relevant stakeholders to support an investment environment conducive to export growth and sustainable development.
The post cited export figures for textile, garment, footwear, and travel goods products at approximately US$15.7 billion in 2025, up from about US$13.5 billion in 2024, representing growth of 15.8%.
The event took place at the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone on 17 January 2026, with around 300 participants.
