On 1 January 2026, the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) announced progress in the 2026 biennial asset and liability declaration process for persons subject to mandatory filing. The ACU said that, as of 11:00 a.m., two institutions had completed declarations in full: the National Election Committee and Mondulkiri province.
The ACU stated that 6,902 individuals had submitted declarations nationwide by that time, representing 34.72% of the total 19,887 persons required to declare assets and liabilities. The announcement was made during a visit by Senior Minister Om Yentieng, President of the Anti-Corruption Unit, to inspect the document reception site and meet officials from the Department of Asset and Liability Declaration who were working during the New Year holiday.
According to the ACU, the declaration process will continue throughout January 2026. The Department of Asset and Liability Declaration is receiving filings seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including weekends and public holidays.
The ACU also stated that armed forces personnel serving on the front line and subject to declaration obligations, from the rank of colonel upward, may postpone their asset and liability declarations without a specified deadline. Declaration forms are available on the ACU website.
