The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has officially launched Phase Two (2026–2028) of the Cambodia Child School Health Development Project, implemented by STEP with support from The Nippon Foundation. The new phase aims to establish a specialized school health subject for lower secondary teacher training, aligned with the National Action Plan on School Health 2021–2030.
The Ministry of Justice’s Gender Committee, led by Secretary of State Pen Sometha and Undersecretary of State Mao Phirun, conducted a mission to the Svay Rieng Provincial Court of First Instance and the Prosecutor’s Office to review handling of women-related cases. The project aims to equip economically vulnerable Cambodian Muslim women, including housewives and widows, with 12‑month sewing and soft skills training to support their household income.
The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training continued its local job outreach by presenting about 2,750 job opportunities to former migrant workers and residents in Thma Koul district, Battambang province. The event also promoted social security benefits and the national TVET 1.5M skills training programme, with guidance on accessing employment services through the National Employment Agency hotlines.
