On 23 March 2026, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) and the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), held an investor conference for the Sihanoukville Logistics Center development project (SHV-LC) in Preah Sihanouk province.
The opening remarks were delivered by Heng Norn, Secretary of State of MPWT, representing the Minister of Public Works and Transport, and Meas Sok Sensan, Secretary of State of MEF. The event was also attended by Long Dimanche, Deputy Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province, an IFC representative, leaders from MPWT and MEF, representatives of the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, and relevant technical officials.
According to the ministry, the conference was organized to present the potential and attractiveness of the SHV-LC project to prospective international investors, develop strategic cooperation with domestic and international investors, and collect feedback from investors. The event brought together a number of national and international companies to discuss investment opportunities and the government’s policy direction in support of the project. MPWT also noted that a previous investor conference for the project had been held in Singapore on 16-17 March 2026.
