Background
On 23 March 2026, H.E. Dr. Un Kheang, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a bilateral meeting at the Ministry with H.E. Shri P. Kumaran, Secretary (East) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
According to the Ministry, the meeting covered Cambodia-India bilateral relations and exchanges on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Key Discussions
Both sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in a number of areas, including trade and investment, defense, demining, culture, human resources development, and people-to-people exchange.
The Cambodian side also briefed the Indian side on recent developments concerning the Cambodia-Thailand border situation. During the meeting, Cambodia underlined its adherence to the ceasefire agreement and its commitment to resolving the border dispute peacefully.
