On 19 June 2026 the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training organised a provincial forum in Samaki Mean Chey district, Kampong Chhnang, that presented 11,970 job openings alongside information on national social security benefits and TVET programmes. The forum combined employer recruitment, social security outreach, and vocational training promotion to directly connect local jobseekers with factories, companies, associations and special economic zones.
MLVT operates a recognition of prior learning (RPL) mechanism that allows workers to apply for skills tests and obtain formal certificates without repeating full courses. The ministry also provides hotlines for labour and social security inquiries, with 1297 for job-related information and 1286 for social security benefits.

The Samaki Mean Chey forum attracted roughly 500 attendees, including returned migrant workers from Thailand and job-seeking youth. Participating employers and recruiters contributed the 11,970 vacancies advertised at the event, and some participating firms also recruit workers for overseas placements, including destinations in Japan.

MLVT positions provincial job forums as an operational channel to implement government policy on employment, workforce welfare and skills development. Former workers and youth can register for TVET courses under MLVT programmes, which include skill areas such as construction, machinery repair, electrical work, refrigeration, baking, coffee roasting and cosmetology; eligible applicants may access training slots without tuition under the programme referenced by the ministry.
