The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology convened an inter-ministerial meeting to review and decide on price negotiations for seven 2026 priority projects covering irrigation system construction and rehabilitation, as well as Mekong riverbank protection works in multiple provinces. The World Bank-funded project under the Cambodia Agricultural Diversification Project includes reservoir works, irrigation piping, wells, solar-powered pumps, and pumping stations.
The APSARA National Authority reported the completion of restoration works on two ancient canals in Don Kaew Commune, Puok District, under the Angkor Water Resilience Project implemented in cooperation with New Zealand. The works included canal rehabilitation, four new water gates, one spillway, and repairs to 1,000 metres of embankment to support water management, flood drainage, cultural landscape conservation, and local agricultural use.
