MOWRAM Inspects Progress of Stung Sen Riverbank Protection Works in Kampong Thom
The Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology inspected the ongoing construction of Stung Sen riverbank protection structures in Stung Sen City, Kampong Thom Province, which have reached about 11% completion as of early March 2026. The works form part of Phase 2 of the Kampong Ko irrigation system development sub‑project under the broader flood and drought management project, financed by the Royal Government of Cambodia.

General Department of Immigration Deports 500 Chinese Nationals Linked to Online Scams
The General Department of Immigration deported 500 Chinese nationals, including 13 women, in coordination with the Chinese Embassy, for involvement in online scam operations and illegal residence and work in Cambodia. The deportations were carried out via special flights from Techo International Airport and Kong Keng International Airport as part of the government’s measures against technology-enabled crime.

Environment and Agriculture Ministries Announce Coral Spawning Discoveries
The Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, together with several conservation partners, announced the documented discovery of a coral spawning event for the third time in the Koh Rong Archipelago and for the first time in the Koh Sdach Archipelago and on Song Saa Island. Surveys conducted from 7–9 March 2026 involved night dives and reef monitoring to collect scientific data on coral reproduction, reef health, and environmental conditions in support of long-term coral reef conservation and management.

Ministry of Environment Announces Coral Spawning Research Findings Around Koh Rong and Koh Sdach
The Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, in cooperation with conservation NGOs and local dive operators, announced the third recorded coral spawning event around the Koh Rong archipelago and the first such observation around Koh Sdach and Koh Song Saa. The night-time underwater surveys conducted from 7–9 March 2026 generated baseline scientific data on coral reproductive cycles, reef health, and factors relevant to long-term coral reef management and conservation in Cambodia’s coastal areas.
