The Ministry of Tourism has announced recruitment for the 2026 National Trainer Training Program in hospitality services, aligned with ASEAN standards. The free program targets trainers and tourism professionals in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Preah Sihanouk and will certify successful participants as national trainers.
The Minister of Tourism met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to discuss strengthening bilateral tourism cooperation and increasing tourist flows between the two countries. The Minister of Tourism presided over the annual general meeting of the British Chevening Alumni Association of Cambodia, attended by the UK Ambassador and more than 100 participants. The event underlined the contribution of Chevening alumni to Cambodia’s development and their role in strengthening Cambodia–United Kingdom relations, including cooperation in tourism.
The Minister of Tourism presided over the launch of a cross-border payment service and the Cambodia–China tourism credit card, developed by Bank of China Phnom Penh branch. The initiative enables tourists, particularly from China and other countries, to make cross-border payments in Cambodia using QR code systems under the Cambodia–China "Diamond" cooperation framework.
The Minister of Tourism met with representatives from the Austrian Embassy, an honorary consul, and an Austrian company delegation to discuss cooperation in Cambodia’s tourism sector.
