On 12 March 2026, Minister of Tourism Huot Hak and Kratie Provincial Governor Va Thon conducted an on-site inspection of Prek Kampi Resort in Sambok Commune, Chitr Borie District, Kratie Province.
The Ministry described Prek Kampi as a natural tourism destination along the Mekong River and as a habitat and conservation area for freshwater dolphins. According to the ministry statement, the inspection focused on tourism services, the surrounding environment, and visitor safety, while encouraging further development of the destination to improve quality and attract both domestic and international tourists.
The Minister stated that the inspection reflected the Royal Government’s attention to tourism development and the protection of natural resources, with the stated aim of supporting the local economy and improving local livelihoods.
