Scope of Application
The draft law addresses the statutory framework for “Military Duty” as presented by the Ministry of National Defence to the Senate. According to the Ministry’s statement, the law’s scope is intended to cover measures related to citizen participation in national defence and the development of disciplined, vocationally skilled personnel adaptable for state and private-sector service.
Key Provisions or Decisions
The principal parliamentary decision recorded in the Ministry’s announcement is the Senate’s unanimous approval of the draft law by a 58–0 vote. The draft was placed on the Senate agenda during the 5th legislature, 5th session and approved at the Senate Palace.
Implications for Investors, Businesses, or Compliance
The Ministry has stated the law will not negatively affect economic, social, or cultural activities and frames the measure as generating trained human resources that state and private employers may seek.
