Cambodia Education Policy: MoEYS Launches Live Teaching Program on DuraSeksa Platform

Background

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport operates a national Live Teaching service accessible through the DuraSeksa online portal at https://live-teaching.duraseksa.gov.kh to support remote instruction for secondary-level students.

As of May 2026, the Live Teaching initiative comprises seven program streams, four of which are currently in active implementation.

The program mix includes a technical-education stream delivered to 28 target high schools with more than 500 participating students and subject-focused streams broadcast from school studio facilities; one broadcast stream is displayed via LCD projectors at 69 target schools with onsite teacher facilitators.

Key Developments

MoEYS has identified seven distinct program streams for the Live Teaching service, with four active streams described in the ministry announcement:

  • Technical education for digital technology and computer science is implemented as an upper-secondary technical pathway in 28 target high schools and covers four foundational topics including basic computer literacy, algorithms and coding, computer administration, and basic design principles.
  • An intensified Grade 12 revision program for national diploma preparation focuses on science and social subjects and is broadcast from the Indradevi High School studio for viewing at target schools between 07:00 and 17:00 daily.
  • A Grade 10–11 supplementary program has piloted instruction in biology, physics and chemistry on weekdays from 18:00 to 19:00, with mathematics sessions scheduled for two-hour daily blocks; that stream began teaching on 11 May 2026.
  • Partnerships with Bellti International School and Suvannaphumi School provide volunteer teachers for afternoon supplemental lessons to Grades 10–12, delivered free on the DuraSeksa digital learning platform.

Operational Implications

Schools and students can access live broadcasts via the ministry-hosted DuraSeksa platform and through local displays such as LCD projectors at designated target schools; local in-school teachers act as facilitators to support classroom integration of the broadcasts.

MoEYS has scheduled the streams at specific daily times to fit school timetables and to combine studio-produced lessons with local teacher assistance rather than relying solely on individual remote access.

Institutional Role

MoEYS is coordinating program delivery, studio production and school-level reception for the Live Teaching initiative and is publishing program information and links through its official social channels and the ministry link hub.
