On 7 April 2026, the Phnom Penh Teacher Education College held a meeting to review progress in building a digital management system for academic and administrative work, described as a school management system. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Set Seng, Director of the institute, and attended by management, deputy deans, heads and deputy heads of offices and departments, relevant officials, and instructors.
According to the ministry’s post, the digital management system had been completed and was being piloted with second-year teacher trainees during the second semester. The system’s functions include management of teacher trainee and education staff information, timetable-based attendance management, score and transcript management under the credit and GPA system, reports and statistics, administrative certificates, and monitoring and evaluation.
The post states that the director expressed appreciation to the SALA school team, through the Department of Digital Transformation, for developing the management system for the institute. Appreciation was also extended to the institute’s management, instructors, and relevant education officials for their cooperation in developing the system.

The pilot use of a digital school management system at a teacher education institute indicates an administrative shift toward more structured handling of academic and institutional data. For education administrators, the platform may help consolidate student management, attendance tracking, grading records, and reporting functions within one system.
