On 12 March 2026, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Dith Tina met with German Ambassador Stefan Messerer and a delegation from the German company Fuchs Gruppe, led by Managing Director Nil Meyer-Pries, at the ministry.
According to the ministry, the meeting covered Cambodia-Germany cooperation in agriculture and discussed Fuchs Gruppe’s plan to invest in Cambodian pepper processing. The ministry stated that the proposed investment is intended to add value within Cambodia’s agricultural value chain and support exports to international markets.
The minister also referred to existing bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, particularly partnership in training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), which the ministry said has contributed to improving the quality of Cambodian agricultural products for export markets.
Both the Cambodian and German sides expressed optimism about longer-term cooperation to promote agricultural trade and improve the efficiency and sustainability of the agricultural sector.
