The Battambang Provincial Police reported the arrest of one suspect in connection with the storage, trafficking, and transport of illegal drugs in Sampov Loun district, Battambang province.
According to the police statement, the operation took place at 4:00 p.m. on 28 January 2026 in Ou Sangkat village, Santepheap commune, Sampov Loun district. The operation was conducted by the Anti-Drug Office of the Battambang Provincial Police in cooperation with the anti-drug unit of the Sampov Loun district police inspectorate.
The suspect was identified as Phal Piseth, male, 33, residing in Lvea village, Boeng Beng commune, Malai district, Banteay Meanchey province.
Police said the seized evidence included two packages of methamphetamine ice weighing 496.82 grams, 33 methamphetamine pills weighing 3.13 grams, two packages of ketamine weighing 1.92 grams, one package of MDMA weighing 1.77 grams, two mobile phones, drug packaging materials, and other items used for drug consumption.
The police stated that the competent officers are preparing the case file for submission to the Battambang Provincial Court for further legal procedure.
