On 23 March 2026, Minister of Tourism Huot Hak and Koh Kong Provincial Governor Mrs. Chhi Va conducted a study visit to review the development of Koh Totung Resort on Koh Totung Island, Koh Kong Province. The project is being developed by Den Nokor (Cambodia) Investment Co., Ltd.
During the visit, the minister met with company representatives and staff working at the resort site. The Ministry of Tourism described Koh Totung Resort as a new tourism product with high added value for Cambodia’s tourism industry and recognized the company’s role in developing the island as a high-end tourism destination for domestic and international visitors.

According to the ministry, the minister instructed the company to continue paying attention to the conservation of natural resources on the island and in surrounding waters, following the principle that conservation should support development and development should support conservation.
The minister also advised the company to study and apply for tourism-related certificates and service standards, including Cambodia Green Hotel, ASEAN standards, and quality recognition certificates for receiving Chinese and Muslim tourists, in order to demonstrate service quality and competitiveness.
In addition, tourism industry associations including CATA, CTF, and PATA were encouraged to examine the possibility of including Koh Totung in premium travel packages and organizing FAM trips. National and international content creators, influencers, and KOLs were also encouraged to promote Koh Totung Resort and other tourism destinations in Koh Kong Province.
At the conclusion of the visit, the minister presented a letter of commendation to the company in recognition of its efforts to develop and improve tourism service quality to a high, professional, safe, and sustainable standard.
