On the morning of 10 June 2026, Secretary of State Meun Manvi, acting for Minister Peng Poothna, inspected the installation of additional traffic-safety equipment along National Road 5 in Kampong Chhnang province. The inspection and deployment were coordinated with a project team for National Road 5, JICA, provincial police, provincial MPWT offices, local authorities, and other stakeholders.

MPWT posted that installed and delivered items include warning lights, rumble strips, traffic signs, and 24 new street-light locations distributed along National Road 5 across Kampong Chhnang, Pursat, Battambang and Banteay Meanchey provinces. The equipment was transported to designated installation sites following technical siting studies conducted by MPWT technical staff and partner entities from Japan.
