On 20 January 2026, the Ministry of Health held a meeting at the third campus of the University of Health Sciences to review progress on construction of the University of Health Sciences Hospital and address issues related to implementation of the project.
The meeting was led by Dr. Yok Sambath, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health and project director for the hospital construction. According to the ministry, the project had reached 48.71% completion against the construction plan as of January 2026.
The hospital is being built at the third campus of the University of Health Sciences in Anlong Kngan village, Khmuonh commune, Sen Sok district, Phnom Penh. The project is supported by the Royal Government of Cambodia and financed through a loan from the Republic of Korea.
According to the Ministry of Health, the first phase is planned with 200 beds, with a second phase expected to add another 200 beds. The hospital is also planned to include medical equipment, medical facilities, and a modern hospital management system to support training, research, innovation, and treatment services.
Participants in the meeting included ministry officials, University of Health Sciences representatives, the construction company, the technical consulting company, representatives of the Korean Exim Bank in Cambodia, and a team from Inje University.
