On 25 March 2026, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn received a courtesy call from Paola Pampaloni, Deputy Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific Department at the European External Action Service, during her working visit to Cambodia.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, both sides welcomed the progress of the long-standing partnership and active cooperation between Cambodia and the European Union and its member states. The ministry stated that this cooperation has contributed to Cambodia’s socio-economic development and public well-being.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on recent developments concerning the Cambodia-Thailand border situation. In that context, Prak Sokhonn expressed appreciation for humanitarian assistance provided by the European Union to Cambodian displaced people affected by the conflict.
