Ministry of Justice Gender Committee Reviews Women-Related Cases in Svay Rieng
The Ministry of Justice’s Gender Committee, led by Secretary of State Pen Sometha and Undersecretary of State Mao Phirun, conducted a mission to the Svay Rieng Provincial Court of First Instance and the Prosecutor’s Office to review handling of women-related cases. The visit also aimed to share information on Cambodia’s obligations under the CEDAW Convention and to support preparation of reports to the CEDAW Committee in line with the Prime Minister’s 12 key recommendations.

MLVT Launches Awareness Campaign on Child Labour and Young Worker Conditions in Kratie
The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training launched an awareness campaign on preventing and eliminating child labour and improving working conditions for young workers at a rubber plantation in Snuol district, Kratie province. The General Department of Immigration organized a dissemination meeting on Prakas No. 12644 concerning procedures for registering newborn foreign immigrants in annex tables and recognizing foreign immigrants aged 18 and above whose names appear in their parents’ annex tables. The session was led by the Director of the Department of Foreigners, Immigration and Refugees and targeted foreign immigrants associated with the Khmer-Vietnamese Federation Association in Balong city, Ratanakiri province.
