Ministry of Environment Receives FFNPT Chair and Reviews Proposal for Cambodia to Host 3rd Fossil Fuel Phase-Out Conference
The Minister of Environment met with Tzeporah Berman, founder and chair of the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty (FFNPT), to discuss Cambodia’s progress on renewable energy and climate commitments. Berman proposed that Cambodia, as a regional leader in renewable energy, support in principle and potentially host the 3rd international conference on fossil fuel phase-out in 2027 or 2028, a suggestion the minister will submit to the Prime Minister for consideration.

MoEYS Launches Phase Two of Cambodia School Health Development Project 2026–2028
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport has officially launched Phase Two (2026–2028) of the Cambodia Child School Health Development Project, implemented by STEP with support from The Nippon Foundation. The new phase aims to establish a specialized school health subject for lower secondary teacher training, aligned with the National Action Plan on School Health 2021–2030.
