Ministry of Health Reviews Preparations for 2026 MPDSR Annual Workshop and Maternal-Newborn Emergency Care Assessment
The Ministry of Health convened a meeting at Calmette Hospital to prepare the 2026 annual workshop on Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response (MPDSR), review maternal delivery-related cases in Kampot, Kampong Thom, and Battambang, and discuss progress in the MPDSR system. The meeting also reviewed UNFPA’s Phase 1 2025 EmONC Light Assessment covering 76 health facilities in eight provinces and issued directions on continued CEmONC and BEmONC training and stronger coordination between national hospitals and provincial counterparts.
