The General Department of Immigration announced the deportation of 73 South Korean nationals, including eight women, from Cambodia on the night of 22-23 January 2026. According to the notice, the deportation was carried out under instructions from the Ministry of Interior leadership and implemented by the immigration investigation department.
The statement said the individuals were removed by special flight in connection with illegal residence, unauthorized employment, and the absence of passports, in cases described as related to online scams.
