Environment Ministry compliance actions at Kirirom Food Production (K.F.P) Co., Ltd.; deadlines issued for wastewater treatment and ESIA
The Ministry of Environment reported that Kirirom Food Production (K.F.P) Co., Ltd. has implemented ministry-imposed measures following past pollution issues, including automated monitoring and construction of a new wastewater treatment system (capacity stated as 700 m³/day). The Ministry instructed the company to: (i) prevent any discharge of improperly treated wastewater into public water sources; (ii) complete and fully operate the new treatment system within one month and install automated monitoring on the new system; and (iii) complete a full environmental and social impact assessment report within six months. Environment Ministry compliance actions at KRR Processing Food Co., Ltd.; deadline issued for wastewater treatment system
The Ministry of Environment reported that KRR Processing Food Co., Ltd. (Kampong Speu) has implemented required measures to stop wastewater discharge from the site (including physical blockage of discharge points) and has completed administrative fine payment and compensation. The Ministry instructed the company to accelerate restoration of affected drainage before the rainy season and to complete and fully operate a compliant wastewater treatment pond/system within three months, including installation of automated monitoring, and to prevent any leakage of insufficiently treated effluent into public water sources. Fuel retail inspections: quality/quantity checks and price-monitoring enforcement warning
Cambodia’s consumer protection and competition authority conducted fuel retail inspections (price, quality, and quantity) across stations/depots, referencing two recent Ministry of Commerce notices (6 and 9 March 2026) and warning that legal action will be taken against stations/depots engaging in dishonest practices (including false stock claims by closing to speculate, or overcharging beyond notified retail prices).
