MOWRAM Inspects O&M and Rehabilitation of Vai Ko and Prek Me Khsay Irrigation
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology conducted a technical inspection of routine operation and maintenance for the Vai Ko (Phase 1) irrigation system spanning four provinces and an anniversary rehabilitation of the Prek Me Khsay irrigation system in Prey Veng province. The works cover canal earthworks, hydraulic structures, and drainage facilities supporting wet and dry season irrigation over several thousand hectares of farmland.

The Ministry of Tourism is continuing inspections and quality recognition for Cambodian tourist boat services based on 34 assessment criteria and 19 mandatory conditions. The ministry is accepting ongoing applications from tourist boat businesses, conducting safety and quality checks before issuing service quality certificates, and has listed several certified operators in Kampot province.

National Bank of Cambodia Reports Balance of Payments Position for Q3 2022
The National Bank of Cambodia reported that the balance of payments remained broadly stable in the third quarter of 2022, recording only a minor overall deficit. The current and capital account deficit widened mainly due to a larger trade deficit, while the services account deficit improved on higher tourist arrivals and workers’ remittances, with international reserves covering about 6.5 months of imports.
