Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence issued a border security update on ASEAN monitoring activities linked to the Cambodia-Thailand ceasefire and related peace arrangements. The statement described verification visits in early January 2026 to civilian and infrastructure sites in border provinces.
The Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army, General Hun Manet, held a bilateral meeting with Singapore Army Chief Brigadier-General David Neo during the latter’s official visit to Cambodia. The two sides reviewed existing defence cooperation and discussed plans to expand joint activities including training, exchanges, and mechanisms for regular army-to-army engagement.
The British Royal Navy vessel HMS SPEY (P234) made a five-day port call at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port from 13–17 February 2023, marking the first visit of a United Kingdom naval ship to Cambodia. The visit focused on courtesy calls, friendship-building, and joint naval exercises between the Royal Cambodian Navy and the UK Royal Navy.
On 3 February 2023, General Hun Manet, Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army, held bilateral talks in New Delhi with General Manoj Pande, Chief of the Indian Army. The two sides agreed to sign a terms document on cooperation between the land forces of Cambodia and India to strengthen and expand long-term, trust-based military collaboration.
