On 25 March 2026, Minister of Tourism Huot Hak received representatives of Viettel (Cambodia) Pte. Ltd. (Metfone) at the Ministry of Tourism to discuss cooperation in the tourism sector. The discussion focused on support for the promotional program titled “My District, My Food,” which was produced to connect Cambodian cuisine with tourism destinations.
According to the ministry, the program is intended to promote tourism destinations together with Khmer food in order to attract both domestic and international visitors. The company stated that the program would be disseminated through its media network with global reach.
In response, the Minister expressed support for the initiative and acknowledged its role in promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential and Cambodian products through food tourism. The ministry stated that it would support dissemination of the program through the ministry’s official channels and through the tourism departments of the capital and provinces.
