Inter-ministerial review advances assessment for cross-border paperless trade readiness
The Ministry of Commerce convened an inter-ministerial review of an updated National Readiness Assessment on Cross-Border Paperless Trade, supported by UNESCAP. The report is positioned as a strategic basis for advancing ratification processes related to the Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-Border Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific (CPTA), which Cambodia signed in 2017, with objectives including improved efficiency and transparency and reduced cross-border trade costs. 153 Chinese nationals deported in connection with online scam cases and illegal stay/work

The General Department of Immigration conducted outreach sessions to disseminate Ministry of Interior Prakas No. 12644 on procedures and formalities for (i) adding newborn children of registered foreign immigrants to annex lists and (ii) requesting recognition declarations for children aged 18+ whose names appear in their parent’s annex list. Environment Ministry issues clarification on alleged illegal gold extraction in Ratanakiri
The Ministry of Environment issued a public clarification rejecting reports alleging facilitation of illegal gold extraction in Ratanakiri. The ministry stated that verification found the cited location is not within a protected area and is within a construction sand business project area of a named enterprise in Ou Ya Dav district. The ministry further reported the company holds a mining-related license issued by the Ministry of Mines and Energy and an environmental protection contract/approval from the Ministry of Environment, and stated it will continue monitoring and apply legal measures if non-compliance is found. Trapeang Tasek temple mound registered as State public land
