Ministry of Environment cites mango processing factory for untreated wastewater discharge and missing environmental permits

The Ministry of Environment reported enforcement action against Khun Da Sambath Co., Ltd.’s mango processing factory in Kampong Speu for discharging untreated wastewater beyond its premises, causing pollution and odors affecting nearby communities. The ministry stated the facility was operating without proper environmental permits and that the General Directorate of Environmental Protection identified violations of the Environment and Natural Resources Code and water pollution control regulations; enforcement actions are being taken under applicable law.
