National IP Committee reviews two draft national strategies (2026–2030)
The National Committee on Intellectual Property Management held its 15th meeting to review and provide initial comments on two draft national strategies: (1) the National Strategy for the Development and Promotion of Cambodian Geographical Indications 2026–2030; and (2) the National Strategy for the Protection and Conservation of Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge, and Cultural Expressions 2026–2030. The meeting directed the secretariat to continue technical consultations with relevant ministries and institutions to strengthen the drafts for effective implementation. (MoC · link)

MoU signed to export Cambodian in-shell cashew nuts to China (initial USD 35 million)
The Ministry of Commerce reported that an MoU on a “Supply Contract of Cambodian Cashew Nuts” was signed between China Bonded Port Group Co., Ltd. and Men Sarun MDR Co., Ltd., witnessed by the Export Promotion Task Force (EPTF). Under the agreement, Cambodia will begin exporting in-shell cashew nuts (M23 type) valued at approximately USD 35 million in the initial phase, with plans to expand exports to an estimated USD 400 million in the future. Immigration authorities deport 724 foreigners for immigration and other alleged violations (7–10 March 2026)
The General Department of Immigration reported the removal of 724 foreigners (163 female) of 15 nationalities between 7 and 10 March 2026 via Techo International Airport and the Bavet international border checkpoint. The individuals were reported to be linked to cases including illegal border crossing, staying without passports, online fraud, use of fake visas, and illegal work in Cambodia. (GDI · link)

Draft road traffic law reviewed by the National Road Safety Committee
