An inter-commission meeting of the National Assembly reviewed and debated the draft Law on Combating Technology-Based Fraud with representatives of the Royal Government on 24 March 2026. The draft law contains five chapters and 24 articles, including provisions to establish new criminal offences related to technology-based fraud, scam-center operations, criminal recruitment and training, malicious collection of private data, and a specific form of money laundering offence.
The Trust Regulator reported that its deputy director general attended a Ministry of Economy and Finance meeting to review and discuss a draft sub-decree on the definition and job descriptions of specialized professional positions within the ministry. The meeting was chaired by the secretary general of the ministry’s General Secretariat and included leaders of institutions and units under the ministry.
